Continuous Flight Augers (Solid)
Every Roschen continuous flight auger starts with quality U.S. steel and produced here in our factory. We use a one piece heat-treated auger tube with an upset forged hex box connection. The forged box allows for a smaller diameter auger tube which reduces overall weight and increases area for cuttings to move along the flights.
Flighting is welded to the auger tube and is hardsurfaced on the outer edge for greater wear life. Flighting width and pitch are designed specific to the auger diameter for efficient cleaning of the hole. Hex pin couplings welded to the top of the auger tube are forged and heat-treated. Pin and box connections are “timed” for consistent alignment between auger sections. Drive pins used to connect auger sections are forged and heat-treated for long wear life and spring retention.
